چکیده

Objective. identify the presence of chicken anemia virus (CAV) in poultry farms and backyard chickens from Antioquia, Colombia. Materials Methods. Blood feather samples were taken laying chickens; each farm, three birds six different ages (1, 15, 30, 60, 90, 120 days old) chosen randomly. Backyard also obtained near research farms. We used serology molecular techniques to analyze samples. Results. By PCR, 84% positive whole blood 66% The 60% tested 40% follicle. serology, 22% farm presented high antibody titers 19% moderate titers. In chickens, 43% them 29% addition, results RFLP test sequencing showed that circulating found this study was Cux-1 vaccine strain Conclusions. CAV is present Colombia both commercial chickens. According findings, a percentage for viral detection, whereas number antibodies low. Thus, characteristics need be determined explain response observed study.

Genomic Characterization of Recent Chicken Anemia Virus Isolates in China

Chicken anemia virus (CAV) causes diseases in young chickens, which include increased pathogenicity of secondary infectious agents, generalized lymphoid depletion, and immunodepression. In the present study, we have identified 22 CAV strains isolated from several commercial chicken farms in Northern China during 2014-2015. In addition, two CAVs were also isolated from stray mouse and dog feces,...

Chicken anemia virus.

Chicken anemia virus is commonly found in commercially produced chickens and has a worldwide distribution. It is difficult to inactivate thermally or with common disinfectants, which limits the utility of normal sanitization practices. The virus is important because of the disease it produces following transovarian transmission and because of its potential for inducing immunosuppression alone o...

Molecular Detection of Chicken Anemia Virus from Native Larry-breed Chickens in Chaharmahal-va-Bakhtiyari Province, Iran

Background and Aims: Finding prevalence of chicken anemia virus (CAV) infection in native chickens is necessary to avoid transmission of infection to commercial flocks. In this paper we attempt to describe molecular detection of chicken anemia virus in native Larry-breed chickens in Chaharmahal-va-Bakhtiyari province in Iran for the first time. Materials and Methods: Blood samples were collect...

Molecular Characterization of Chicken Anemia Virus Circulating in Chicken Flocks in Egypt

Introduction. Although many previous studies reported detection of chicken anemia virus (CAV) in Egypt since 1990, genomic characterization of this circulating CAV has not been published. In the present study, four nucleotide sequences of detected CAV were genetically characterized. Methods. These nucleotide sequences were obtained from commercial chicken flocks in two different locations of Eg...

Cloning and sequence analysis of VP1, VP2 and VP3 genes of Indian chicken anemia virus

Chicken anemia virus was detected by PCR in tissue samples collected from poultry flocks in Gujarat,India. The VP1, VP2 and VP3 gene sequences of CAV from Anand, Gujarat were obtained after cloning thePCR products in pDrive cloning vector. Nucleotide sequence alignment with other CAV sequencesdemonstrated overall identity of 95-98.8%, 98.8-99.8% and 98.8-100% for VP1, VP2 and VP3 regions,respec...
